BC Pull Off Thrilling Win in Extras
|
The San Antonio BC wiggled past the Ottawa Nationals, 8-7, at San Antonio Field. San Antonio right fielder Alfonso Torres earned player of the game honors. After today's action, San Antonio sits at 19-27, while Ottawa falls to 14-32.
The game was still up for grabs in the bottom of the 12th. With one out, Torres hit a fastball from Ken Dundee for a run-scoring triple. The BC, in dramatic fashion, had a walk-off win.
"We took advantage of our opportunities," Torres told the San Antonio Gazette. "It's as simple as that."
