Late Rally by Gold Sox Secures Win
Chicago Gold Sox starter Tom McKee pitched a strong game against the Portland Evergreens at Gold Sox Field, leading the Gold Sox to a 3-2 win. Toshiki Yokoyama picked up the win in relief, improving his record to 3-1. Keith Rojas was tagged with the loss. Chicago is now 37-37.

Shigenobu Ohayashi was the walk-off hero for Chicago. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Gold Sox left fielder hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.

"Baseball is about momentum," said Ohayashi, "and we feel we've got it in our favor after that win."
