Noe Toepfer never let the Polar Bears get in a groove. The left-hander used his bread and butter, his curveball, to pitch the Rawhides to a 1-0 win. Ron Pomar closed the game out for Belvedere Park, earning his 1st save. Belvedere Park bumps their record to 18-15 with the win.

The Rawhides beat the Polar Bears with some clutch hitting. The double by Ken Gill in the bottom of the fifth is a good example. With two down, Gill gave his team the lead, 1-0, when he came through with the big hit.

Gill expressed little emotion after the game. "Every game we win now," he said, "is one less win we'll need to get in the end."
