A 3-RBI performance from second baseman Ken Moore, who is tied for 5th in the 3AA in bases on balls with 17, led the Asheville Highlanders to a 5-3 win over the Westwood Sixshooters. Wei Shan was the winning pitcher. Over 7 innings, he allowed 3 runs on 10 hits, with no walks and 3 strikeouts. José Rosales closed the game out for Asheville, earning his 4th save.

Moore had a game-changing home run in the bottom of the seventh. On a 3-1 cutter from Jin Kwon, he banged a 3-run home run to right, giving the Highlanders a 5-2 lead. It was the 1st home run of the year for Moore.

Moore told a Asheville News reporter that he was "more than satisfied" with the win.
