Hot Start Continues for Polar Bears
Virginia Beach got a terrific game from first baseman Luis Manuel Flores. It wasn't enough, though, to prevent the team from falling to Billings, 10-8. Flores was the player of the game despite being on the losing side. He was 4 for 5 with a home run and 3 singles. He scored 2 times and drove in 2. Billings reliever Igarashi Momoru picked up the win, upping his record to 3-1. John Wallbank was saddled with the loss. With their winning streak at 10, the Polar Bears have raced to a strong start this season.

Gil Andersen helped his team jump on top from the get-go. His first time up in the top of the first, he cranked a grand slam home run to give Billings a 4-0 lead.

"I like the roll we're on," said Billings manager Todd England.
