BC Use Late-Game Magic to Beat Rawhides
|
The Belvedere Park Rawhides got a superb performance from pitcher Anederea Iukekini. Still, it wasn't enough to beat San Antonio. The BC won the game, 2-1. In spite of the loss, Iukekini was named the player of the game. He threw 6 innings of 4-hit ball. San Antonio reliever Ken Peterson got the win, raising his record to 1-1. Joe Fisher was tagged with the loss. San Antonio is still hoping to get on a roll. The win is just their 6th in 19 games.
San Antonio won the game in the bottom of the ninth inning. With no outs and Joe Fisher on the mound for Belvedere Park, center fielder Jud Regan hit a dramatic solo home run, bringing BC fans to their feet.
"It's nice to come out on top today," said Regan.
