The Boston Patriots picked up a win at Evergreen Park, knocking off the Portland Evergreens, 6-2. Starting pitcher Jaganmani Vivek, who captured player of the game honors, was a big reason why. The win was credited to Rick Converse in relief. His record improves to 1-1. Keith Rojas took the loss. Boston is now 42-28. Portland is 39-31.

The most critical at-bat came in the top of the ninth inning. With one out, Adrián Gómez hit a 2-1 cutter from Keith Rojas for a 2-run home run. It put Boston in front, 3-2.

"Feels good to get the job done," Vivek said after the game.
