Express Bang Out 7-0 Win Versus Ft. Worth
|
The Wizarding Express bested the Ft. Worth Cattlemen, 7-0, at Platform 9 3/4. António Boccanegra was named player of the game. He went 3 for 4 with a home run and a double, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 2. Woodward Haberdash got credit for the win, improving to 4-2. He allowed no runs on 1 hit in 3 innings. Wizarding is now 44-61.
The Express used some clutch hitting to beat the Cattlemen, a good example being the at-bat of Louis Gibbons in the bottom of the second. With two down, Gibbons gave his team the lead, 2-0, when he hit a 2-run home run.
"We'll savor this win," Gibbons told the Wizarding Observer, "then get ready for the next game."
