Toledo Makes It 6 Straight with 3-2 Win
|
Fans who came to Pacesetter Park watched the Toledo Stingers and the Northern Virginia Rainbow Mermaids fight to the finish.
Toledo rode a decent outing from starter Maxime Janssens to victory over the Northern Virginia Rainbow Mermaids at Pacesetter Park. The final score was 3-2. Toledo reliever An Jang-Yop was credited with the win, to go to 2-3. Mat Tengku took the loss for Northern Virginia.
Tural Bishara was the walk-off hero for Toledo. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Stingers center fielder hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.
"I tried to mix it up, keep them off balance," said Janssens.
The slumping Rainbow Mermaids have lost 6 straight.
