Extra-Inning Win by Battery over Knights
|
Júlio Robles did all he could to help his team win. In the end, though, it wasn't enough to keep the Kingston Township Knights from losing, 7-6, to the Charleston Battery at Cloverdale Legion Park. Robles was 2-3 with a home run, while scoring 2 times and driving in 2. Reliever Hiroaki Kouda picked up the win. His record improves to 4-4. Ebby Calvin LaLoosh took the loss. At 62-31, the Battery have a slim two-game lead in the Third League.
Aurelio Jiménez took Ebby Calvin LaLoosh deep in the top of the 12th. His solo home run put the Battery on top, 7-6. In all, Jiménez had 1 single in addition to the home run, while going 2 for 5.
"You can't get too high when things go well, or too low when things go bad. Right now, I'm just happy we got the win," Jiménez told the Charleston Citizen.
