Flamingos Cut Down Patriots, 4-1

Las Vegas and Boston duked it out at The Strip and the Flamingos came out victorious.
Las Vegas starter Germán Rodríguez put a stranglehold on the Boston offense. The right-hander had complete command of his forkball in leading the Flamingos to a 4-1 win. Las Vegas reliever Gilberto Medina picked up the win, upping his record to 5-0. Dave Hulton took the loss.
Las Vegas took the lead in the bottom of the seventh. With one out and a runner on 2nd, Xavier Hernández stroked a run-scoring single to make it 2-1, Flamingos.
"I made some pitches when I had to," said Rodríguez.
The first-place Flamingos have a one-game lead in their division.
