The Echo Park Lakers defeated the Panama City Piranhas, 5-4, in Menard's Third League action at The Tank. Manuel Guillama received player of the game honors. The 7-year veteran was 2 for 5 with a home run and a walk. Echo Park is now 40-50, while Panama City is 38-52.

It could have been a different outcome for Echo Park, had it not been for Toby Sutton, the 24-year old right fielder . Sutton contributed a run-scoring sacrifice fly in the top of the 12th inning to put Echo Park up, 5-4.

"Enjoyed this one," Guillama told the Echo Park Times. "But it's back to work tomorrow."
