Houston got a terrific performance from pitcher Won-u Yi, but it wasn't enough to beat the Montana Pandas. Montana won the Houston Grounds contest, 5-1. Yi was the player of the game despite being on the losing side. He threw 6 innings of shutout ball. Montana reliever Francisco Valdés picked up the win, bumping his record to 1-0. Dorian Daly was collared with the loss. Montana, at 47-40, occupies 4th place in the Third League.

Xi-ku See-to's hit in the top of the ninth was a game-changer. With two out, he rapped a fastball from Dorian Daly for a 3-run home run. It put Montana in front, 3-1.

"It was a solid team effort," said See-to after the game.
