Victory Over Express Takes Charleston to 54-28
|
Carlos Medina pitched a gem to lead Charleston to a 4-1 victory over the Wizarding Express. Medina went 6 innings to notch the win. He scattered 2 hits, walked 0, and struck out 8. His record improves to 9-4. Charleston has now won 4 games in a row.
The Battery got a big at-bat from second baseman Datu Lesaca. For the game, Lesaca was 1-3 with a walk. In the bottom of the sixth, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a run-scoring single. His 92nd hit of the season gave Charleston a 2-1 lead.
