Losing Streak Continues for Lakers with 9-2 Loss to Cattlemen
|
Ft. Worth rode a good effort from starter Robbie Baxter to beat the Echo Park Lakers at LA Forum. The final score was 9-2. Echo Park has now lost 13 straight.
Bart Lewis delivered a big hit for the Cattlemen. The veteran first baseman belted a 3-run home run in the top of the sixth. The longball put Ft. Worth on top, 4-0. Overall, Lewis was 1-5 with a home run. He drove in 3 runs and scored once.
"There's a lot of fight left in this team," said Baxter.
