Les Bleus Suffer 6-3 Loss to Pandas
|
The Montana Pandas defeated the Quebec City Les Bleus, 6-3. Earning player of the game honors was first baseman Gabriel Maldonado, who went 1-4 with a home run, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once. Montana reliever Raúl Gómez was the winner. His record is now 4-4. Pleun Davidse took the loss. Hao Wei earned the save for Montana, his 1st of the year.
Early in the game, Maldonado had a grand slam home run for Montana. It was his 10th home run of the season and put the Pandas on top, 4-0.
Maldonado attributed the win to "energy and focus on the part of everyone."
Today's win puts Montana at 33-35, while Quebec City falls to 24-44.
