Big Day at the Plate for Bernard Not Enough for Knights

Both teams had their chances, but the Panama City Piranhas eventually prevailed at The Tank.
The Kingston Township Knights got a superb performance from left fielder Ron Bernard. Still, it wasn't enough to beat Panama City. The Piranhas won the game, 4-3. In spite of the loss, Bernard was named the player of the game. He hit 2 home runs, while adding 3 RBI and scoring twice. Robinson Suárez picked up the win in relief, improving his record to 4-1. Enrique Cortéz was tagged with the loss.
Panama City took a 4-3 lead in the bottom of the eighth inning. With one out, catcher António Ramos hit a solo home run that set the crowd abuzz.
"Win or lose, we pick each other up in this clubhouse," Ramos told the Panama City Observer.
Panama City occupies 10th place in the Third League at 26-33.
