Torres Rips Boston for 6 Hits
José Torres put on a hitting clinic today as the D.C. Divided dumped the Boston Patriots 17-3 at Washington Stadium.

The D.C. shortstop made Boston defenders earn their pay, lashing Boston pitching for 6 hits in 6 at-bats in the game. He told BNN reporters after the game that his strategy was "just hit it where they pitched it."

"Too often I try too hard to pull the ball," Torres said in his postgame press conference. "Today, I just went with the pitch."

José Torres singled in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, hit a three-run home run off Leo Ingelbrigtsen in the 4th, hit a two-run single in the 5th, singled in the 6th and hit an RBI single in the 8th.
