Knights Lose to Dodgers, 6-3
|
Brooklyn starter Barney Starr had a strong outing against the Kingston Township Knights at Cloverdale Legion Park. The right-hander was a big part of his team's 6-3 win. Luis Bejarano closed the game out for Brooklyn, earning his 1st save. Brooklyn, at 22-34, occupies 11th place in the Third League.
Gerald Clark's at-bat in the top of the seventh was significant for the Dodgers. Coming to the plate with runners on 1st and 2nd and Brooklyn leading 1-0, the catcher hit a 2-run double.
Starr attributed the win to "energy and focus on the part of everyone."
