Adrián Gómez put on a hitting clinic today as the Boston Patriots dumped the D.C. Divided 9-3 at Washington Stadium.

The Boston catcher made D.C. defenders earn their pay, lashing D.C. pitching for 5 hits in 5 at-bats in the game. He told BNN reporters after the game that his strategy was "just hit it where they pitched it."

"Too often I try too hard to pull the ball," Gómez said in his postgame press conference. "Today, I just went with the pitch."

Adrián Gómez hit a solo-shot off John Hottinger in the 1st, doubled in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, singled in the 7th and hit an RBI single in the 9th.
