Men Knock Off Nobles at Jerome Grounds

Florida rode a fine outing from starter Scott Colorado to victory over the Bakersfield Nobles at Jerome Grounds. The final score was 4-2. Colorado picked up the win for Florida, going 5.2 innings. He gave up 1 run on 7 hits. He now sports a record of 1-0. Raymond Allan locked down his 1st save.
In the top of the first, Jim Halpert ambushed a first pitch fastball from Oliver Rodríguez and hit a solo home run. It gave Florida a quick 1-0 lead.
"It takes a lot of things to win a ballgame," said Florida manager Hugh Harris. "It's usually not just one thing."
The Men, with only their 2nd win in 8 games, have not had much to write home about in 2034.
