It was a good time at Royse City Stadium, where fans came to watch the Athletic Club KC Reserves and Royse City Targaryens get after it.
The Royse City Targaryens stopped the Athletic Club KC Reserves, 12-6, at Royse City Stadium. The Targaryens got a big game from Santiago Miranda, who was 3 for 4 with a home run, 2 singles, and was hit by a pitch. He drove in 6 runs and scored once. Fred Proctor got credit for the win, improving to 8-5. He allowed 6 runs on 7 hits in 6 innings. Enrique García notched his 13th save in 15 chances.
Miranda contributed a big hit, a 3-run home run, for Royse City in the bottom of the fifth. With his team trailing 5-4, Miranda took a fastball from Jorge Cintrón and stroked the home run to right. His 6th home run of the season allowed the Targaryens to leap in front, 7-5.
"We swung the bats good throughout the lineup," said Royse City skipper Chris Drew.
The winning streak has now reached 5 games for Royse City.
