Thrilling Walk-Off Win for Halberds
The Alloway Halberds racked up a win at Ballpark of Alloway, bumping off the Tremont Doubledays, 4-3. Gilberto Ramírez, who started for Alloway, pitched effectively for his team. Reliever Cheung Lai picked up the win. His record improves to 2-2. Frank Porter took the loss. Even with the win, the Halberds have a dismal 30-69 record.

Alloway won the game in the bottom of the tenth inning. With two outs and Frank Porter on the mound for Tremont, catcher Mike Clifton hit a dramatic solo home run, bringing Halberds fans to their feet.

"Big win," said Clifton.
