Fans who congregated at Pennsauken Park were treated to extra-inning drama.

With first baseman José Zarate leading the charge, the Alloway Halberds defeated the Pennsauken Flyers, 8-6, at Pennsauken Park. Zarate, who was drafted in the two round of the 2027 draft, went 2-5 with 2 home runs and 2 walks, while scoring 3 runs and driving in 3. The win was credited to Seb Alport in relief. His record improves to 3-6. Manny Benavides took the loss. Earning his 1st save for Alloway was John Ball.

The most crucial at-bat for Alloway came in the top of the 13th inning. That's when Zarate stroked a 1-2 fastball to left for a 2-run home run, putting Alloway up, 8-6.

"Nice to put this one in the win column," said Zarate.

Alloway is 27-66 and Pennsauken, with the loss, 33-60.
