Athletic Club KC Reserves starter David Rowlingson pitched a strong game against the Pure Michigan Great Lakers at KC Reserve Stadium, leading the Reserves to a 5-2 win. Rowlingson picked up the win for Athletic Club KC, going 5 innings. He gave up 2 runs on 5 hits. He now sports a record of 5-5. Wayne Slade, summoned from the bullpen, notched his 2nd save.
Hsintien, Taiwan-born Tsai Ng came through in the clutch. In the bottom of the fourth, with a runner on 1st and the Reserves trailing 1-0, he hit a 2-run home run to right to put Athletic Club KC on top.
"It takes a lot of things to win a ballgame," said Athletic Club KC manager Henry Russell. "It's usually not just one thing."
The Reserves now own a record of 43-48.
