Brinkley No Match for Reid
The Tremont Doubledays shut out the Brinkley Belugas 2-0 today behind the strong pitching of Bo Reid. Reid surrendered only 8 hits in recording the complete-game victory, and struck out 6.

Following the last out, Reid appeared to celebrate a little too boisterously for Brinkley manager Ricardo Medina, who could be seen scolding the famously outspoken right-hander as the clubs left the field. Reid's own manager then intervened with some words for his counterpart.

The Belugas skipper would not comment on the exchange, but at the Doubledays press conference, Reid confirmed that it was regarding the celebration.

"He basically told me I was being a lousy winner," Reid said.

"And I told him he was being a lousy loser," Tremont manager Don Nelson added.

In the current season in 16 starts, Bo Reid has a record of 6-5 with 64 strikeouts in 126.1 innings and a 4.42 ERA.
