Lake Monsters Roll to 8-2 Win Over Targaryens
|
A 3-RBI performance from David Smith helped the Vermont Lake Monsters beat the Royse City Targaryens, 8-2. Santo Velazco got the win, improving to 11-6. He pitched 7.2 innings, giving up 5 hits and 2 runs, while striking out 0 and walking 2. Vermont has an impressive 59-30 record.
Smith had a big at-bat with a runner on 1st in the top of the second inning, when he hit a 2-run home run. The Lake Monsters went on to win.
