Chrzan Rips Brinkley for 5 Hits
Dan Chrzan put on a hitting clinic today as the Tremont Doubledays dumped the Brinkley Belugas 14-4 at Doubledays Stadium.

The Tremont first baseman made Brinkley defenders earn their pay, lashing Brinkley pitching for 5 hits in 5 at-bats in the game. He told BNN reporters after the game that his strategy was "just hit it where they pitched it."

"Too often I try too hard to pull the ball," Chrzan said in his postgame press conference. "Today, I just went with the pitch."

Dan Chrzan singled in the 2nd, hit a two-run single in the 2nd, hit a GRAND SLAM off Edo Culley in the 3rd, singled in the 5th and hit a solo-shot off Jon Dunn in the 8th.

Chrzan is hitting .369 so far this season with 76 RBIs and 65 runs scored. He has 120 hits including 19 home runs, 36 walks and .434 OBP.
