Both teams had their opportunities, but in the end, the Pure Michigan Great Lakers got the win.

Pure Michigan second baseman Dan Hendricks was instrumental in his team's 4-3 win over the Brinkley Belugas. Hendricks, who is tied for 8th in the SAAA in doubles with 19, went 2-3 with 2 runs scored to lead the offensive attack for the Great Lakers. Chad Sanogo earned the win for Pure Michigan. He lasted 7 innings, allowing 2 earned runs on 10 hits, while striking out 5. With the win, he raised his record to 3-6.

Hendricks had a game-changing home run in the bottom of the seventh. On a 2-1 changeup from Felipe Casanova, he banged a solo home run to left, giving the Great Lakers a 4-3 lead. It was the 4th home run of the year for Hendricks.

Hendricks called the win the result of "everyone being in sync."
