Multi-HR Day for Cornu as Lake Monsters Overpower Flyers, 8-5

The Vermont Lake Monsters extended their winning streak at Pennsauken Park.
The Vermont Lake Monsters bested the Pennsauken Flyers by a score of 8-5, with catcher Sébastien Cornu getting the main credit. On the day, Cornu went 2 for 3 with 2 home runs and 2 walks. He drove in 3 runs and scored twice for the Lake Monsters. Santo Velazco got credit for the win, improving to 9-6. He allowed 5 runs on 5 hits in 7.2 innings.
Cornu had an important at-bat with a runner on 2nd in the top of the first, when he hit a 2-run home run. The Lake Monsters went on to win.
"Nice to see our side come away with the win," Cornu said after the game.
