Loss Extends Pennsauken Losing Streak
|
Takahiro Suzuki had a hand in Royse City defeating Pennsauken by the score of 9-4. Suzuki went 4 for 4 at the plate, scoring 2 times and driving in 1 runs. Royse City reliever Won-min Yi picked up the win, bumping his record to 2-0. Bernie Sanders was collared with the loss. Ralph McKinney closed it out for his 7th save.
Vernon T. Waldrip had a big 2-run single for the Targaryens in the bottom of the fifth inning. With Royse City leading 5-4 and the bases loaded, he got a curveball from Manny Benavides and stroked the single to center. It was his 40th hit of the season, and more importantly, it put the Targaryens ahead, 7-4.
"Our guys are never satisfied," said Royse City manager Chris Drew.
The slumping Flyers have dropped 6 in a row.
