The Belugas faced a stiff challenge from Pennsauken pitcher Seong-rae Park, but persevered to claim a win at Pennsauken Park. The final score was 3-2. Park went 8.1 innings and allowed 3 earned runs. Bob Devlin picked up the win in relief, improving his record to 6-4. Seong-rae Park was tagged with the loss. Brinkley is now 31-36.
Brinkley grabbed control in the top of the sixth. With one out and runners on 1st and 2nd, Guy Toussaint delivered a run-scoring single, to make it 2-1 in favor of the Belugas.
"Baseball is about momentum," said Toussaint, "and we feel we've got it in our favor after that win."
