Lake Monsters Win in Glorious Fashion
|
The Vermont Lake Monsters did just enough to sneak past the Plymouth Rocks, 4-3, at Monster Field. Vermont pitcher Rodas Aguilar earned player of the game honors. Tim Sandaele picked up the win in relief, improving his record to 2-1. Henry Henry was tagged with the loss. The Lake Monsters own a robust 36-16 mark.
Cosmo Castanhedo was the walk-off hero for Vermont. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Lake Monsters second baseman hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.
"I still think this team has room for improvement," Aguilar told the Vermont Herald.
