The Vermont Lake Monsters easily defeated the Alloway Halberds, 15-4, at Ballpark of Alloway, with right fielder Katsunan Taketo a main contributor to the win. He went 3-4 with a triple, 2 singles, and a walk. He scored 3 times and drove in 3 for Vermont. Marnix van Rijn picked up the win with 6.1 innings of work. He allowed 3 earned runs on 5 hits, while walking 3 and striking out 6. On the season, he is now 6-1. The Lake Monsters own a robust 35-13 mark.
