Hirschovits Helps Belugas Run Win Streak to 4
|
The Brinkley Belugas topped the Alloway Halberds by the score of 6-4, with the largest share of the credit going to left fielder Jouo Hirschovits. Hirschovits was 2 for 3 with a home run and a walk, while adding 5 RBI and scoring once for the Belugas. Vicente Durango earned the save for Brinkley, his 3rd of the year. The Belugas bumped their record to 21-19 with this latest triumph.
Hirschovits had a game-changing single in the bottom of the eighth. On a 2-1 fastball from Pedro Adame, he banged a 2-run single to right, giving the Belugas a 6-4 lead. It was the 41st hit of the year for Hirschovits.
"It was a solid team effort and we'll try to keep this momentum going," Hirschovits told reporters after the game.
