It was a good time at Ballpark of Alloway, where fans came to watch the Pennsauken Flyers and Alloway Halberds get after it.
The Alloway Halberds got a stellar performance from pitcher Bob Browning, who handcuffed the Pennsauken offense en route to a 5-1 win at Ballpark of Alloway. Browning picked up the win for Alloway, going 6.2 innings. He gave up 1 run on 5 hits. He now sports a record of 3-4.
The Halberds got a big at-bat from first baseman Manny Gonzáles. For the game, Gonzáles was 1-3 with a home run and was hit by a pitch, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. In the bottom of the fifth, with runners on 1st and 3rd, he stroked a 3-run home run. His 10th home run of the season gave Alloway a 4-1 lead.
"This level of focus will win us a lot of ballgames," Browning said after the game.
Alloway is now 12-26.
