Brinkley Belugas starter José Pacheco turned in a top-notch performance against the Athletic Club KC Reserves at KC Reserve Stadium. The result was a win for the Belugas, 3-1. Pacheco went 7 innings to notch the win. He scattered 4 hits, walked 4, and struck out 5. His record improves to 3-2. Brinkley is now 18-19.
Rio Clark aided the Brinkley cause with a 2-run double in the top of the fifth. For the game, the second baseman went 2-4 with a double. He drove in 2 runs.
"We'll enjoy this win," said Pacheco. "But there's more we hope to accomplish."
