|
Brinkley starter Gary Ashley pitched effectively against the Phoenix Hotspur Reserves at Thunderbirds Stadium. The right-hander led his team to a 2-0 win. Ashley, the winner, moves to 2-0. He threw 6.2 innings of 1-hit ball, while fanning 6 and giving up 4 walks. The Hotspur Reserves, at 13-17, have lost 4 straight games.
Hyeon-cheong Kim helped his team jump on top from the get-go. His first time up in the top of the first, he cranked a run-scoring single to give Brinkley a 1-0 lead.
