Targaryens Come Up Short at Pure Michigan
|
Cyrille Baffi made an impact in the 6-5 Pure Michigan win over Royse City. Baffi, who is tied for 2nd in the SAAA in runs scored with 22, went 3-4 with 3 singles, while scoring 3 runs. Pure Michigan reliever Joseph Merle picked up the win, upping his record to 2-0. Manuel Torres absorbed the loss. Pure Michigan now owns a record of 15-10.
A crucial at-bat came with a runner on 1st and no one out in the bottom of the eighth inning. That's when left fielder David Crow, who is tied for 4th in the SAAA in triples with 2, hit a single. The Great Lakers went on to win.
"Honestly, I'm not frustrated," said Royse City manager Chris Drew. "The effort was great."
