Hotspur Reserves Need Extra Frames to Get Past Rocks
|
The Phoenix Hotspur Reserves went home winners at Plymouth Quarry, thanks in large part to starter José Santiago. Santiago silenced the Plymouth Rocks, enabling Phoenix to grab the 3-1 win. Phoenix reliever Dennis Dunn got the win, raising his record to 2-1. Artie Best was tagged with the loss. Phoenix currently is in 6th place in the Silver AAA at 12-12.
Phoenix left fielder Jason DeGeorge delivered a solo home run in the top of the 11th. Overall, he went 3 for 5, including 1 home run, 1 single, and 1 double. He scored 1 run and batted in 2.
"If we play like this, we can win a lot of games," DeGeorge told the Phoenix Citizen.
