Brinkley beat Royse City on the strength of starter De John Cleland's fine effort. The right-hander led his team to a 3-2 win. At 9-12, the Belugas find themselves in 7th place in the Silver AAA.
Luis Yander La O, who is rated as the 19th best prospect by BNN, aided the Brinkley cause with a run-scoring single in the bottom of the third. For the game, the center fielder went 1 for 4.
"We put a lot of pressure on ourselves," Yander La O told a Brinkley Gazette reporter. "Sometimes we need just to relax."
