Targaryens Get Win, Hope to Turn Around Slow Start
|
Royse City and Pennsauken duked it out at Royse City Stadium and the Targaryens came out victorious.
Edgar Lankford was superb against Pennsauken. The right-hander, who was drafted in the two round of the 2023 draft, had a curveball that was virtually unhittable at times. The result was a 7-4 Targaryens victory. Enrique García got credit for the save for Royse City. It was his 2nd of the year.
Early in the game, left fielder Víctor Cuevas had a bases-clearing double for Royse City. It was his 4th double of the season and put the Targaryens on top, 3-0.
"We were able to get some things going offensively," said Cuevas.
Royse City, now 4-6, is off to a slow start.
