Thrilling Walk-Off Win for Belugas
The Brinkley Belugas did just enough to secure a 4-3 victory over the Athletic Club KC Reserves at Belugas Ballpark. Nobody did more than pitcher Desiderio Toccafundo, who captured player of the game honors. The win was credited to Sicnarf Loopstok in relief. His record improves to 1-0. Byron Rosebotham took the loss. Things have gone south in a hurry for the defending champion Belugas, who notched only their 2nd win in 5 games.

Brinkley's win came gift-wrapped. With two out in the bottom of the ninth, with the game tied, Jouo Hirschovits reached on an error by the center fielder, driving in 1 run.

"We put a lot of pressure on ourselves," Hirschovits told a Brinkley Gazette reporter. "Sometimes we need just to relax."
