Supernovas Cut Down Black Sox, 8-6
|
The Scranton Supernovas launched their 2034 campaign with a victory over the Baltimore Black Sox at Nuclear Stadium. Scranton second baseman Augusto Escobar was instrumental in the 8-6 win. He was 2-3 with 2 singles and a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once.
Scranton grabbed the momentum in the bottom of the fifth, when Escobar hit a 2-run single. His 2nd hit of the season put the Supernovas out in front, 7-5.
"It's nice to come out on top today," said Escobar.
