Leclerc No-Hits Eclipse
|
It was the game that pitchers dream about: the no-hitter.
It happened today at Old-Timers Park. Étienne Leclerc of the Little Caesars Hot N Readys was right on target against the Northville Eclipse in a 3-0 victory. Leclerc zeroed in on them, holding them hitless with 3 strikeouts and 3 walks.
"I just had it all today," Leclerc told BNN reporters after the game. "Very good stuff and great location. That is a combination that's hard to beat."
So far this year Leclerc has made 10 starts, tossed 82.2 innings, struck out 56 batters and walked 31. His record is 5-5 with a 3.38 ERA and he has limited opposing teams to a .234 batting average.
