Hirschovits, Grasshoppers Rough Up Seawolves
|
The San Bernardino Grasshoppers topped the Long Island Seawolves, 11-3, with center fielder Jouo Hirschovits playing a big role. Hirschovits went 3 for 4 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk. He scored 2 runs and drove in 4 for the Grasshoppers in the win. San Bernardino has now won 3 straight, while the Seawolves have lost 5 in a row.
The Grasshoppers got a big at-bat from first baseman Howard Lee. For the game, Lee was 1-4 with a double and a walk, while scoring 2 times and driving in 2. In the top of the fourth, with the bases loaded, he stroked a 2-run double. His 9th double of the season gave San Bernardino a 2-0 lead.
"Win or lose, we pick each other up in this clubhouse," Lee told the San Bernardino Daily News.
