Lionhearts Top Grasshoppers Behind Calhamar, 4-1
Valentin Calhamar never let the Grasshoppers get in a groove. The right-hander used his bread and butter, his circle change, to pitch the Lionhearts to a 4-1 win. The save went to Kliment Spirk, his 5th this season. With the win, Lannister United has a record of 52-41. San Bernardino falls to 54-39.

Calhamar, a native of Ciudad Guayana, Venezuela, was dealing all game. He kept San Bernardino hitters off-balance, while giving the Lionhearts 8 quality innings. Calhamar threw 112 pitches, allowing 3 hits and striking out 4.

"It's a mindset," said Calhamar. "Just trying to do your job, trying to be consistent."
