Lancaster right fielder José Medina made his presence felt in the 8-6 Farmers triumph over the Long Island Seawolves. Medina was 3-5 with a double, 2 singles, and a walk. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. René Fontaine finished to wrap up his 24th save. The Seawolves, at 29-59, have lost 4 in a row.
Had Alfonso Pacheco not delivered a key base hit in the top of the eighth, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and runners on 1st and 2nd, Pacheco hit a 2-run double. That made the score 8-6, in favor of the Farmers.
"Say want you want about this team, they play nine innings hard," said Lancaster manager Luis Barroco.
