The Irving Blue Sox topped the Long Island Seawolves, 7-2, in USSL Double A action at Ballpark of Remsen. The player of the game was Irving pitcher and Montreal, Canada native Bob Bolen. The Seawolves, now 26-55, have lost 4 straight.

Tied up with the Seawolves in the top of the fourth inning, the Blue Sox got a boost from shortstop Javier Sandoval. With runners on 1st and 2nd, Sandoval saw a 1-0 fastball from Ben Lieske and hit a run-scoring single to break the stalemate and put Irving on top, 3-2.
