|
Little Caesars left-hander Mark Parker helped his team edge Lancaster by the score of 3-2. Parker kept the opposing lineup in check. In 7.1 innings, Parker surrendered 11 hits, while striking out 4 and walking 3. He allowed 2 runs. Morton Steele notched his 17th save in 17 chances.
The Hot N Readys got a lift from catcher Robby Patterson who had a run-scoring walk in the top of the first inning off Ralph DePalma. It was his 51st walk of the season and put Little Caesars in front, 1-0.
"I felt we were ready to go," said Little Caesars manager Ken Miller. "Our pregame was pretty good."
